Visitors to the Martin Automatic stand in Brussels were able to experience the unique blend of Martin technology and hospitality, with more than 140 live machine demonstrations and over 200 hotdogs served during the four-day show.
The popular MBS non-stop automatic butt splicer and LRD non-stop automatic transfer rewinder provided the focus of attention for visitors – each displayed with ergonomic, space saving considerations requested by Krämer Druck, the end-user located in the beautiful Mosel valley, at whose facility the equipment was installed immediately following the exhibition. This is the second set of Martin non-stop automation technology on a label press that combines various processes at Krämer Druck, which specializes in the production of wine and spirits labels.

Barthel Group chooses Martin Automatic - for non-stop operation of its narrow web presses'

Leading German based label converter, Barthel Group, has installed more Martin Automatic technology at its production facility in Essen. The latest Martin machines are an MBS non-stop unwind/splicer and LRD automatic transfer rewinder fitted to a Nilpeter FA5 flexo press. Last year, Barthel also installed Martin MBS machines on two Mark Andy Evolution 5 presses at its atb plant in nearby Herne. According to Group Managing Director, Mischa Barthel: "Non-stop operation of narrow web technology is the only way to maximise productivity - there is no future here for a label press without automatic roll handling."

Colognia Installs More Martin Automatic Nonstop Technology

One of the Czech Republic's largest label converters Colognia press a.s. has continued its investment in Martin Automatic technology with an MBSF unwind splicer and LRD rewinder with slitting capability fitted to its new Gallus Labelmaster 440 press at Kolin, some 70km east of the country's capital city, Prague. The new equipment joins previous Martin nonstop unwind and rewind technology fitted to Colognia's Gallus RCS 330 presses in 2010 and 2015.
